James McAvoy he has welcomed a second child and is speaking publicly about fatherhood at the age of 40. In a new interview, the 46-year-old actor said he lives in London with his wife, Lisa Liberati, and their four-year-old son. He is also father to 15-year-old son Brendon, who he shares with ex-wife Anne-Marie Duff. McAvoy said becoming a father again later in life is different, with less worry and more strain.

According to The Guardian , McAvoy shared a family update while discussing life at home with Liberati and his young son. She said: “Having a child at 42 is definitely easier in some ways.” He added: “I worry less. I’m a bit more philosophical. But it’s also more difficult because you’re older and tired.” The Guardian also reported that McAvoy declined further comment “for fear of creating tabloid fodder”.
