UP Board Result 2026: UPMSP extends class 10th, 12th evaluation last date. Will the results be delayed?

UP Board Result 2026: Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has extended the examination schedule. UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 Exams 2026. The decision was taken after delays were reported at several assessment centers across the state. Scrutiny of answer papers started on 18th March 2026 and earlier it was to be completed by 1st April 2026. However, officials found that the work could not be completed on time due to several holidays during the examination period, according to an official notice issued by the board. Public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr on March 21, 2026 and Ram Nomi on March 26 and 27, 2026 slowed down the checking process. Several district school inspectors and deputy controllers of assessment centers requested the board to extend the deadline. Considering these requests, the Board has now extended the last date of evaluation till 4th April 2026. The authorities have directed all the assessment centers to use the extra time carefully and complete the checking process properly. The Board has also directed that the award lists should be submitted to the Regional Offices by April 5, 2026. However, UPMSP has not yet announced any change in the result date, and the results are still expected as per the normal timeline.

UP Board Class 10, 12 Exam 2026 Details

The UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for the academic session 2026 were conducted from 18 February to 12 March 2026 across the state in offline mode. The examinations were conducted in two shifts:

  • Morning Shift: 8:30 am to 11:45 am
  • Afternoon Shift: 2 pm to 5:15 pm

This year more than 52 lakh students registered for the exams. Out of them, about 49.4 lakh students participated. Before the theory exams, the Class 10 and Class 12 practical exams were conducted in multiple phases in January and early February 2026.

UP Board Exam 2026: Passing Marks

To pass the exam, students must secure at least 33% marks in each subject.

  • For class 12th, students must secure 33% marks in theory and practical subjects separately.
  • For class 10, the pass condition may be based on subject wise combined marks.

Now with the extension of the evaluation deadline, the process of preparation of results is expected to continue smoothly. Students are advised to keep checking the official updates for the declaration of UP Board Result 2026.
