Pankaj Saran, India’s former deputy national security adviser, has praised them Ranveer Singh Starring Dhurandhar: The Revenge, hailing it as a new benchmark in Indian cinema. I love Dhurandhar 2 more than Dhurandhar 1. I mean, minus the violence, I thought it was a bit over the top but I think it sets a new benchmark in terms of cinematography, production, skills, quality, for the Indian film industry. I think it will be very difficult for anyone to match it,” said Pankaj Saran.
“Professional and in line with global filmmaking”
He also compared the film to Hollywood war films and praised the director’s use of artistic freedom.“You know, we grew up watching all kinds of war movies, but they were very amateurish. This is really professional. So now, when it comes to the real movie, I mean, look, the event, the names, the people are real, they’re real, and we grew up in an era where we were fed Hollywood movies, and they would create caricatures, caricatures, caricatures, caricatures of Russian Nazis. You’d have imagination, and you’d buy it all. So I think it’s good that the director if he has decided to use artistic license if a certain story is exaggerated and based on true events, I think he does not need justification because it is quite in line with the culture of filmmaking worldwide.
