Ahead of the premiere of ‘Rama’ on April 2, Ranbir Kapoor, along with director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, headed to Los Angeles where they premiered the first visuals of their film to a select audience at an IMAX screening. At the event, the trio also sat down for a Q&A where they answered questions about the upcoming film, the characters and more. In a video from the event, Ranbir is seen taking center stage as he shares his views on the portrayal of Lord Rama. At the launch, Kapoor not only described Lord Rama as a mythological figure, not as a “conscious guardian” but also introduced the term “Maryada Purushottam” to Western audiences meaning the ideal man.

At the event, Ranbir said, “Ahari has been the conscious guardian of billions of people around the world for centuries and for a long time. It enlightens us about the human spirit when it comes to misfortunes. It represents compassion, courage, righteousness and forgiveness. It is called Maryada Purushottam, which stands for an ideal man.”The film directed by Nitesh Tiwari, which runs on a big budget, aims to present a major revision of the epic saga. The event in Los Angeles is part of the group’s wider international expansion strategy. The team headed to the US to debut the first look. This follows a special screening of the film in the US for test audiences.
The execution of ‘Ramayana’ first look has been revealed
According to reports, the first look titled ‘RAMA’ has been secured with a duration of 2 min 38 sec. According to producer Malhotra, the first look will be released in India on April 2, on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

The epic saga will feature Sai Pallavi as Sita, antagonist Yash Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.‘Ramayana’, the two-part epic is slated for a worldwide IMAX release, with Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
