According to CineUlagam, the producer has filed a complaint with the Producers Council, saying that the film’s budget was increased far beyond the original plan. According to the complaint, Murugadoss mentioned the film to be made on a budget of 110 crores, but spent around 170 crores on the final production. The plaintiff alleged that the cost overruns were due to a lack of planning and execution, which led to time inefficiencies on set and losses to the production house.

In these discussions, an agreement seems to have been reached for Murugadoss to take the script of “Ramana 2” and give it to the film’s producer without any remuneration.
