Rahul was in Odisha shooting for his TV show ‘Bhole Baba Paar Karega’ when the unfortunate incident took place. According to his co-star Diganta Bagchi, after the day’s shoot was over, Rahul went into the water alone, but caught something under the surface. Moments later, the crew noticed that he was drowning and went to help him. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. A West Bengal police officer informed PTI that the actor died at a hospital in Digha after being brought from a beach in neighboring Odisha. “We have contacted our counterparts in Odisha to find out the sequence of events. A case of unnatural death has also been registered at the Digha police station. We are also talking to members of its production team and witnesses,” the officer said.
