While talking to Variety India about her latest work in “The Kerala Story 2”, Bhatia got candid about all the criticism and hate she has received for playing the character Divya. The actor who was once a famous actor in the television world successfully transitioned to films; the journey was not easy. While making ‘The Kerala Story 2’, she said, “My responsibility was to be honest with my character and her journey. If you start thinking too much about the noise around you, you risk losing the truth of what you’re portraying.’
He also touched on the intentions behind the film, telling the true story in its entirety was what mattered most. “For me, it’s always about focus and honesty. If you’ve approached your work with honesty and sensitivity, you have to stick with it. You can’t control how people will receive something, but you can control the truth you bring,” he said.Bhatia also admitted that she already knew what would happen after the release of the film. “I was aware that this is not just a movie, it’s a conversation that goes beyond cinema,” he said.
