The “Dhurandhar” franchise has emerged as a huge box office hit, with the first part of the film and its sequel garnering huge acclaim across the globe. The title Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampaland Sanjay Dutthas Aditya Dhar the director is the talk of the town. With his popularity on the rise, speculation started that Aamir Khan was being considered for a pivotal role in “Dhurandhar 2”. Some reports even suggested that he was asked to play the inspired role Ajit Doval which was eventually played by R Madhavan. It was also reported that Aamir had expressed interest in the role of Rehman Dakait, but wanted the character to be less politically charged, and instead floated the idea of an Ajit Doval biopic.However, these rumors have now been firmly dismissed. A source close to the actor clarified that such claims are “absolutely false and baseless”. Speaking to Instant Bollywood, the source confirmed that there was never any conversation between Aamir, director Aditya Dhar or the casting director. Responding to the clamor and trolling for not watching the film, Aamir said in an interview to Variety India, “The strange thing about me is that I don’t watch movies. I’m a reader. I read. So a lot of people, when they have free time, watch the content, whether it’s a show or a movie. I like to read.” He also reiterated that the only films he has consistently watched are the classic black-and-white ones, highlighting his personal tendency to read over the content on the screen.
