Bimal spoke about his association with Daler Mehndi, admitting that he played a crucial role in shaping his path. In an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, he said, “Daler Mehndi ji is a friend, a brother, a mentor. We became friends in the early 90s, when Daler was just paaji and not yet Daler Mehndi. When he was releasing Bolo Ta Ra Ra, he told me, ‘Bimal, let me release this album, I’ll take you to Bombay.’ And he did.“He also revealed how Mehndi helped him financially in his early days in Mumbai. “He gave me 12 checks for 10,000 rubles for a year, he gave them to me and said: ‘This is your monthly expense, start your journey’. That’s how our association began.”Interestingly, Bimal’s on-screen acting introduction happened almost by accident during the shooting of Mehndi’s hit song Ho Jayegi Balle Balle. “When Ho Jayegi came to shoot Balle Balle, I had just gone to shoot. The directors said there is a part: can we give it to Bimal? Paaji said yes, and it was decided there. I ended up playing the lead in the video, and that song was a big hit.”Before fully transitioning into acting, Oberoi spent several years learning the ropes behind the camera. He worked together Anubhav Sinha In Tum Bin, gaining experience in various aspects of filmmaking. “My first film was Anubhav Sinha’s Tum Bin.
