On the occasion of Ram Navami, ‘Ramayana’ producer Namit Malhotra officially announced that the first look of the much awaited Nitesh Tiwari directorial will be unveiled on April 2 Hanuman Jayanti.Among the talks that will be released by the managers Ranbir KapoorLord Ram’s first official appearance during the Ram Navami festival, Malhotra, in an official statement, ended all the rumours, saying, “On April 2, Hanuman Jayanti, we will take our first step together.”In a post on social media, he shared, “This is a story for everyone, and every step we take has been guided by a deep sense of responsibility, devotion and care to bring our Ramayana to life in its truest spirit and scale.” Revealing when fans can get their hands on the official material, he said, “On April 2, Rama, we look forward to sharing the next look, on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, as we begin to showcase all these years of our efforts to celebrate this moment with fans worldwide through a grand launch.”Extending a thank you note to all the fans who are waiting for the film, he concluded, “Thank you for your love, faith and patience.”The announcement comes as officials prepare to roll out a broad international promotional campaign, presumably starting with events in the United States. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.According to reports in Variety, Kapoor, Tiwari and Malhotra are expected to attend a media interaction in the US this month as the film’s first major international promotional push. Mounted on a grand scale and believed to be one of the most expensive films ever made in India, ‘Ramayana’ has already created a lot of buzz both in India and across the world. The film will release in theaters worldwide on Diwali 2026 and part 2 will release on Diwali 2027.On Ram Navami, filmmaker SS Rajamouli and the team of ‘Varanasi’ also extended their greetings to the fans and devotees of Mr. Ram by offering a teaser of his upcoming film. The said clip showed the epic battle scene from Ramayana. They shared the post with a caption that read, “Next Sri Rama Navami you will see it in theatres.” The film will release on April 7, 2027.
