Other media outlets in Spain ran similar stories, almost all citing RMC. Mbappe played three games with the team before the injury was finally diagnosed, with Madrid releasing a medical report on December 31 confirming a sprained knee, followed by an update this month after he went to Paris for a second opinion, having been sidelined for more than three weeks.
