In 2024, director Denis Villeneuve announced that the final chapter in his sci-fi saga, ‘Dune: Part Three’, would hit theaters on December 18, 2026. The film starring Timothee Chalamet, along with Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor Joy and Robert Pattinson, chose the latest release date and was booked for the IMAX installation. However, the film found itself in the midst of a storm at the box office, with Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ also announcing the same release date, a month later. Despite the close fight, the makers announced that they have no plans to change the release date.
