In an interview with IANS, talking about his language preference, Akshay Kumar said, “In the 90s, even if it was a sari night, I always said I would speak Hindi. I always speak Hindi in general. Even in many of my conclaves, where there are English speakers, I fold my hands and say, ‘You will speak English, but I will speak Hindi’. That is my comfort.”According to the report, in the 1990s English was widely preferred for conversation; however, actors like Akshay Kumar and Govinda were always among the few who opted for Hindi.
