Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan They are all set to bring their magic back to the screen with ‘Bhoot Bangla’ which is releasing on 10th April 2026. The actor-director duo, who have entertained audiences with projects like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Bhagam Bhag’, have come together for a reunion that has been going on for almost 14 years.
Who scares Akshay Kumar a lot?
During the film’s promotions, in an exclusive interview with ETimes (Times of India), Akshay and the director were asked about the things they fear the most. While Priyadarshan expressed his fear of reptiles, Akshay, who is known for his jovial nature, readily admitted that he is afraid of his wife (Twinkle Khanna) temper and that nothing else can scare him. “My wife Tina’s temper is what scares me the most,” admits Akshay cheerfully.

On the other hand, the director has admitted that he has a great dislike for reptiles. She shared, “I don’t like reptiles. I’m really scared of them. Any reptile in my room, I’ll run away. It can be any snake, cockroach, rat or lizard, anything… I have that reptile allergy.”

That being said, as Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are wrapping up a horror-comedy film ‘Bhoot Bangla’, ETimes asked if they really believe in real-life ghosts (bhoots). In response to this, the director explained: “I don’t believe at all; I’m a psychology student, and I don’t believe in it. The horror plays in our heads, and the protagonist of my films also doesn’t believe in it and tries to find the real story behind it, and the same thing will happen in the film: my protagonist, who doesn’t believe in ghosts, slowly believes in ghosts and the audience also slowly believes in them. He moves forward with a small moment of tension and finally with a new perspective. But fun is guaranteed.”It stars the late ‘Bhoot Bangla’ actor AsraniParesh Rawal, Tabu, Mithila Palkar, Wamiqa, Rajpal Yadav and others in prominent roles.
