K-pop superstars BTS marked their first US performance in four years with a high-profile appearance in New York, promoting their latest album ‘ARIRANG’. The boy band consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook took the stage at the SWIMSIDE event. Suki Waterhouse and BTS ARMY treated them to details about their lives, unknown facts about the members, and closed with some electrifying performances of their new songs, including “Swim” and “2.0.”

Be honest BTS with Suki WaterhouseThe appearance comes just days after BTS drew crowds at their comeback concert at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, announcing their comeback after a 4-year hiatus. Beyond the performances, the band engaged in a light-hearted backstage interaction that quickly went viral. The band took the stage to the cheers of ARMY, many gathered to watch the performance. The members were also greeted with a warm hug from Suki.

The singer, who became the evening’s host, stumbled on stage but was caught by RM in time. Thanking her, she wrote in a post: “Congratulations to @BTS_twt for an awesome album and thanks to RM for catching me when I was about to fall.”

Suki started by talking about the new album and the presentation of the ‘Swim’ video clip. When asked if any of the members disliked swimming, Suga replied that he didn’t enjoy it at first, before laughing and correcting, “no no no wait I hate swimming I love swimming (meaning the song) I hate water.”The RM leader, who is nursing an injured ankle, said: “The members scolded me, ‘be careful’, you don’t want to break another ankle,” prompting laughter from the audience. The recently injured singer performed for her debut show in Korea and concert in NYC.The event also gave fans an insight into the band’s off-stage dynamic and banter. During the chat, RM revealed that JungKook contributed catchy vocals to the song “Hooligan” and shared how challenging it was to perform for the live performances.Meanwhile, Jimin amused fans with a cheeky remark, “I always take my clothes off when I get home,” to RM jokingly replying, “He’s always naked,” before quickly adding, “Okay…too much information.”RM also shared a candid story about JungKook’s habits during his stay in Los Angeles, revealing that the youngest member left his luggage unpacked for two months, forcing others to tiptoe whenever they entered his room.

The SWIMSIDE event comes as BTS prepares to embark on a world tour. BTS will kick off the tour with a concert on April 9 in the South Korean city of Goyang, before visiting 33 more cities around the world for a total of 82 concerts that will run through March 2027.After back-and-forth concerts in South Korea and Japan in April, BTS will return to the US, then Mexico, and later Europe to visit Belgium, Great Britain, Germany and France.
