Billboard reported his death, revealing that he had suffered a major motorcycle accident in Ashland City, Tenn., on Saturday. A statement from his family also announced the news and asked fans for some privacy during this difficult time.The statement read: “Ronnie was loved by so many in our music community, who he loved so much. We are already grateful for all the love and outpouring towards us. Right now, as we process, we crave your prayers. We have no word at this time, but thank you and we kindly ask that you respect our privacy while we try to put our minds to this and grieve.A fellow musician, Billy Strings, also paid tribute to Bowman in a social media post. She shared photos of the singer and then wrote in the caption: “One of the best entertainers in bluegrass and country music. He lit up any room he was in. I am deeply saddened to learn that he has passed away after a tragic motorcycle accident. May our dear friend rest in peace.”

Ronnie Bowman was born on July 9, 1961 and was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Music had a great influence from a young age, he started singing gospel music at the age of 3. Together with his 4 sisters he played in different churches, and was very involved in music. In 1990, he joined the bluegrass group Lonesome River Band for two years and played extensively with them. After this, he started releasing solo music, most of which became huge hits when they were released.
