While appearing on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast to promote her latest film, the actor once opened up about watching the beloved and dramatic soap operas we all know. She admitted that she loved watching them in her early years, citing that she had no friends to play with and spend time with when she was growing up.“I used to pretend I was sick so I could stay home and watch Regis and Kelly. I loved Regis and Kelly and ‘Days Of Our Lives,’” the actress candidly admitted, revealing that she would spend most of her time catching up on TV soap operas.He also said that he really respects the work of telenovela actors and that they are not given enough credit. “‘Days of Our Lives,’ soap opera actors generally don’t get the love they deserve. They have to memorize (the script) the night before, like a 10-page interview. They get a take. And it’s impossible for a scenario like when (Days of Our Lives character Marlena Evans), (played by actress) Deidre Hallhe gets possessed, this happened when The X-Files was a big thing, all of a sudden everything became supernatural, he got possessed by the devil,” he admitted.Ryan Gosling taking an acting class from Deidre HallHe also recalled in his podcast role that he once attended one of Deidre Hall’s most amazing acting workshops.
