And now, it’s finally coming to a streaming platform.

Aamir Khan’s and streaming rights Genelia Deshmukh starrer, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ has been acquired by Sony LIV. The film will be released on the platform in April this year.The streaming platform has announced the release date on its official social media handles. Therefore, those who missed seeing it in cinemas will be able to enjoy the film from the comfort of their homes from April 3, 2026. The premiere coincides with the Good Friday long weekend. The caption of the post read, “Kisi ke liye alag… kisi ke liye normal… Sabka apna normal hota hai… Heartwarming story of hope, heart and healing… Watch #SitaareZameenPar #SabkaApnaApnaNormal from 3rd April.”
Aamir Khan’s stance on OTT release
Explaining his move to opt for the pay-per-view model instead of releasing the film on the streaming platform, Aamir Khan said that the window between the theatrical release and the OTT release is quite small and as a result, people are not coming to watch the film on big screens.Hence, he released it on YouTube where a viewer has to pay Rs 100 to watch it.
