Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has started the online application process for the recruitment of various uniformed posts. Candidates can apply for a total of 984 posts, including constable, fireman and special tiger guard posts.As per the official notification, only online applications will be accepted. Vacancy details
The recruitment drive will fill up 984 Group C posts in various departments. These include:
- Constable (Indian Reserve Battalion)
- Constable Civil Police (Male and Female)
- Constable Band and Bugler
- Fireman
- Special Tiger Guard
Out of the total vacancies, 67 posts are reserved for ex-servicemen.
Who can apply?
Candidates must be a citizen of India. The minimum qualification for most of the posts is a Class 10 (Matric) pass from a recognized board.The age limit is:
- 18 to 22 years for most constable posts
- 18 to 32 years for Fireman and Special Tiger Guard posts
- Age relaxation is available for certain categories as per rules.
Selection process
Recruitment will be done in phases:
- Written Examination (Objective Type)
- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Performance Test (PET)
- Trade Examination (for specific posts)
- Medical fitness test
Final selection will be done on the basis of performance in written test, along with qualifying other stages.
Exam pattern
The written test will carry 200 marks and includes:
- General awareness
- General intelligence and reasoning
- Numerical Ability
- English language
Candidates must secure minimum 33% marks to qualify. There is no negative sign.The application fee is ₹150 for Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) candidates, and ₹200 for unreserved candidates.
