Narrating the incident, Gursewak revealed that the mishap happened while shooting an action sequence. The scene required an explosive device to be placed before taking cover. While rehearsing the scene and choreographing the stunts, things took a turn. Gursewak Singh recalls the accident on tapeThe translated post reads, “Why brother Ranveer Singh is a beautiful person and a great artist, let me tell you a story. We were shooting an action scene at the airport in Amritsar, that too in the film. I was behind Ranveer Singh and I had a bombshell that I had to go ahead and set it. We did quite a few rehearsals and everything went perfectly. But I don’t know how I did it wrong and it took 2 seconds to plant the bomb. As soon as we left there, me and brother Ranveer had a huge collision, like something hit me at 70 speed. I fell on the tires, and Ranveer fell on top of me.’“His gun hit my stomach and the barrel of my gun hit my elbow. He got up and went over there. He was also hurt, but I fainted, and I was afraid that he might be hurt more.’Gursewak Singh on Aditya Dhar’s reactionMedical personnel attended while the crew assessed the situation. Director Aditya Dhar also stepped in to reassure the injured actor, “‘It happens in action, don’t worry’. Although he himself had an elbow injury, Ranveer reportedly asked Gursewak if he wanted to continue shooting or take a break. She shared: “My eyes were full of tears – I was completely overwhelmed by their love. Then he saw my injury and asked, ‘Can you take a picture or do you want a break?’ I also dared and said: ‘It’s the last scene, when you’re doing it, I’ll do it too’. I asked him, ‘Sir, how did you get hurt?’, he said, ‘The elbow will have a little problem with the exercises, but never mind – let’s do the scene.That’s when we finished that scene.
