PEOPLE reports that Thurman, who stars in the hit TV show ‘Pretty Lethal,’ was there that night. Talking about working with the ‘Kill Bill’ actor, the director stated, “Uma is obviously an icon and she can play a villain like no one else can.” He also talked about how versatile her on-screen character is, “she has a wicked sense of humor, and she also brings empathy to the character, which allows her to be with the character when the most absurd things happen. I don’t think anyone with Uma’s talent can do that.”
