Popularly known as ‘Channa Thala’, he was also among the supporters of T-League 20. triumphed in 2010 and 2014, where he won the Man of the Tournament award after scoring 234 runs.

CSK is hosting a fan engagement event in Chepauk ahead of IPL 2026.

He is CSK’s highest run-scorer, scoring 5529 runs, including two centuries and 38 fifties in his career with the franchise.Hayden, meanwhile, was associated with CSK between 2008 and 2010 and was instrumental in their early success. The former Australian opener was part of the 2010 IPL winning team and had earlier claimed the Orange Cap after scoring 572 runs in the 2009 season, becoming the first CSK player to achieve the feat.In his time with the franchise, Hayden scored 1117 runs with eight half-centuries.The event also saw the presence of several former CSK players, including Muttiah Muralitharan, Ambati Rayudu, Lakshmipati Balaji, S. Badrinath and Michael Husseyadding to the celebratory atmosphere on the historic occasion of the franchise. CSK will take on Rajasthan Royals in their opening match on Monday, March 30 in Guwahati.
