UPSSSC Recruitment 2026: Notification Released for 929 ASO, ARO Posts; Registration starts from this date.

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) and Assistant Research Officer (ARO) posts. According to the notice, a total of 929 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.Candidates who are interested and eligible can apply online through the official website after the registration process starts.

Important Dates

As per the official notification, the application process will start on 21st April 2026. Last date for submission of online application form and payment of fee is 11 May 2026.Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their application form till 18th May 2026.

Total Vacancies

Recruitment campaign is being conducted for 929 Assistant Statistical Officer and Assistant Research Officer posts in various departments of Uttar Pradesh.These vacancies are divided into various categories and departments as mentioned in the official notification.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must appear in Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 conducted by UPSSSC. Only those candidates who have valid PET score will be considered for shortlisting.For educational qualification, candidates should have a post-graduate degree in subjects like Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics or related fields from a recognized university.Additionally, candidates must have basic computer knowledge and knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.Age LimitCandidates age should be between 21 to 40 years as per the rules mentioned in the notification. Age relaxation will be given to certain category candidates as per government norms.

Application fee

The application fee for all categories is Rs.25. Fees can be paid through online modes like Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking or UPI.

Selection process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test. Only those candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their PET 2025 score will be eligible to appear in the main examination.The written test will consist of objective type questions and will carry a total of 100 marks.
