Jayasurya’s ‘Aadu 3’ is enjoying a positive box office with a significant rise in collections on the second day. The film has collected more than 14 crores, driven by better audience occupancy. Featuring a time travel plot for Jayasurya, the film has received mixed reviews, praising its music and some comedy moments while criticizing the forced humor.

The film has received a slight but significant jump on its second day.According to Sacnilk, the film collected 6.20 crores on Day 2 which represents an increase of 4.2 percent compared to Day 1 collection of 5.95 crores.

The collection crosses 14 million gross

Reports say that the film’s net collection is now 12.15 crores. Meanwhile, the gross collection was 14.03 crores.Although the opening day numbers were moderate, the 2nd day growth gives stability to the film. Overall, the film seems to be performing decently at the box office and all eyes are on the weekend collections.

Occupancy shows great improvement

On Day 1 the film had 67.0 percent occupancy. This increased to 74.0 percent on Day 2. Although the number of shows has decreased slightly from 1,803 to 1,784, the better occupancy shows better audience participation.

The time travel plot expands the franchise

Directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, ‘Aadu 3’ takes a new narrative approach as the film introduces an element of time travel across multiple timelines.The story follows Shaji Pappan and his team in another chaotic chase. This time, the plot moves between the familiar Aadu universe and a timeline set in the 1700s.Jayasurya plays dual roles, appearing as Shaji Pappan and Padmanabha Thamburan, the local king. Vinayakan plays Azam Khan in the alternate timeline while Sunny Wayne appears as a British officer. The film also features Vijay Babu in a pivotal role.

Mixed opinions

ETimes rated it 2.5 out of 5 stars and stated, “The main timeline follows the familiar Aadu universe, and the other main timelines are from the 1700s. The transitions between timelines are handled well, but there’s a noticeable lack of excitement until the very end.”The review adds: “The time travel concept, while intriguing, only serves as a tease for the final installment, hinting at a more exciting sequel.
