In a recent interview, Bedi addressed the controversy surrounding the film being labeled as “propaganda” and made it clear that he does not agree with such classifications. “I don’t believe in politics. I think it’s cinema… Everyone has the right to like or dislike a film. But I don’t think it’s right to put a film in a certain category… It’s pro-establishment or anti-system. The verdict is that people love it,” he said.
He also compared the film to other projects that have faced a similar label, asserting that Dhurandhar stands apart. “Recently, there was a movie Indira Gandhi and (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi, these films were not even for two days. Dhurandhar’s writing, script is brilliant. People have never seen a movie of this magnitude,” he added, noting that audiences are truly “celebrating cinema” with the sequel.Talking about the overwhelming response the film is getting, Rakesh termed the current atmosphere as unprecedented. “This is a craziness going on. I’ve never seen anything like this at least in my career. Not many people have seen that kind of craziness, craziness and euphoria for a film,” he shared.The actor also reacted to a viral video of Alexander Stubb and Mark Carney discussing the film during a morning run. Calling it a huge compliment, he said, “What could be a bigger compliment? I was delighted to know that he is talking about a film I’m a part of on this level. Aditya kept saying one thing while making the film.
