Dharamsala: The Indian team management has pinned its hopes on Nitish Kumar Reddy’s evolution as a seven-bowling all-rounder as they look for a stable replacement for the injury-prone. Hardik Pandya. On Saturday, Afghanistan’s opener Rahmanullah Garbaz on the Indian attack when the captain… Shabman Gul Reddy bowled, he responded with four impressive overs for 2/31 to cap the visitors’ innings.Reddy feels that when Hardik returns, it will be difficult for him to hold on to his place in the XI. To make the most of the opportunities that arise, he has been working hard to sharpen his bowling skills over the past year, even working with UK-based bowling coach Stephen Jones.“I thought I was a front-on bowler and started working on the stride length because I wanted to go very fast on the run-up. It changed my bowling action a bit. It’s coming along nicely now and there are some other improvements that I hope to make in the coming days,” said Reddy.Reddy was apparently reluctant to divulge the details of working with Jones. “We have been working together for seven days now,” he said. We have discussed and worked out the details and identified some points where I need to change a bit in my particular bowling. We are working on it, basically this is what we want to achieve in the coming days.
