During the filming of ‘Practical Magic 2’, actor Xolo Maridueña could not control his excitement to work with some of the biggest icons of the film industry. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, while on her way to the world premiere of ‘Killing Castro’ in New York, the actress revealed what it was like to be on the set of the magical film.She shared that she felt very welcome when she joined the returning cast for the sequel. She added: “Girl, I was like…I already loved the movie, and the chemistry of the whole cast, I just wanted to bottle it up and hold it forever. Everyone was so nice. It was my first time shooting abroad, we were in London.”He went on to say that it was a great experience working with Kidman and Bullock, who have been in the industry for decades. She added: “Sandra and Nicole and the whole Practical Magic family made me feel so welcome, and I was so happy to be there. I can’t wait for people to see it. It’ll be whatever you want to go with family or ladies night. Or you’re going for margaritas, whatever.”He also added that people should remember that the film will be released in September, and later called the two actors “class acts”.
Who is Xolo Maridueña?
Xolo Maridueña has been working in the entertainment industry since 2011. The 25-year-old made his debut when he was only 11 years old with the TV series ‘Gurasotasuna’. The actress has been a rising force in the acting industry. He later found his big break when he played the lead role of Miguel Díaz in ‘Cobra Kai’. He was 16 years old then.He is also known for directing DC’s ‘Blue Beetle’, the first Latino superhero in the film franchise. Later, in 2023, he ventured into singing and released his first single, ‘On My Way’. His latest film, ‘Killing Castro’, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 9. As of now, there is no word on when the film will get a theatrical release or an OTT release.
About ‘Practical Magic 2’
The film’s premise is set almost two decades after the release of the first film, and marks the return of the Owens family to the big screen. Based on Alice Hoffman’s novel The Book of Magic, the narrative shifts to a new generation of Owens witches, specifically Sally’s daughters. As they uncover dark secrets and truths about their family and origins, things begin to change.The film also stars Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest, Joey King, Maisie Williams, Lee Pace and Solly McLeod.
When is ‘Practical Magic 2’ coming out?
The film has already finished shooting and is said to be in the final stages of completion. As per the announcements, the movie will release on September 11, 2026 later this year. The film is the highly anticipated sequel to the first film ‘Practical Magic’ which was released in October 1998.
