Bangladesh 35/1 in 6.3 overs BAN vs AUS Live Score, 3rd ODI: Bangladesh opt to bat against Australia.

BAN vs AUS Live Score, 3rd ODI: Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first in the third and final ODI against Australia in Dhaka, with captain Najamul Hussain Shantu hopeful that his team can maintain the momentum they have already secured in the series.

Shantu pointed to dry conditions and the possibility of a slower pitch later in the day as the main reasons behind the decision. Bangladesh made two changes, bringing back Soumya Sarkar, while Mahdi Hasan Miraz was ruled out after suffering an injury. Although Mehdi was recovering well, Shantu said doctors had imposed restrictions and advised the all-rounder to rest for a few days.

The series decider is being played on pitch number 4, the same surface used in the first ODI where Bangladesh scored 284 runs. Despite some rain and dry grass ahead of the opening match, the wicket is expected to have a good batting surface with plenty of pace and bounce. Humid conditions may help early swing, while spinners are likely to come into play as the match progresses, with a competitive target of around 284.

Desperate to salvage some pride after losing the first two matches, Australia made some changes with Ben Dwarshuis and Ollie Peake returning to the playing XI. Stand-in captain Josh Inglis acknowledged the tourists’ disappointing campaign and said the team was determined to produce a strong performance and clinch the series 2-1.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, will take confidence from the impressive return of Mossad Hussain, with the all-rounder expected to once again play a key role at a suitable level to create strokes.
