the director Suresh Triveni Triptii has nothing but praise for Dimri, but admits there was a brief period when he feared he might lose his stardom. With ‘Maa Behen’ garnering appreciation from the audience after its release, the filmmaker mulled over casting the actor before ‘Animal’ became one of the most talked about names in Bollywood.According to the director, Triptii had committed to ‘Maa Behen’ even before ‘Animal’ hit the theatres. Recalling the initial stages of the project, he and writer Pooja Tulani traveled to Bhopal to narrate the script in person, while the actor was busy shooting for ‘Dhadak 2’.Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Suresh said, “He’s a dream. He’s one of the easiest people I’ve ever worked with. He shows up, he’s got no hangs, he’s a big star right now, and I remember closing him a month before ‘Animal’. We went to him when he was shooting for ‘Dhadak 2’ – Pooja Tulani, my writer, and I went to Bhopal to narrate the script. And he readily agreed. Within a month, ‘Animal’ was a huge hit.”
Suresh Triveni’s concern after “Animal”.
The massive success of ‘Animal’ changed Triptii’s career significantly, making him one of the most sought-after actors in the industry. Triveni admitted that the film’s box office success made him question whether he would still decide to remain a part of his smaller project.“My fear was that he would end up making my movie, the little movie we’re trying to make. So my messages with him are terrible. I asked him, are you making this movie or not? And he would say, ‘Sir…’ There’s a kind of cold atmosphere around him. In fact, there’s no stress, at least it shows on his face.”Beyond her professional commitments, Triveni also spoke about the actor’s ability to stay grounded despite the intense public attention in recent years. The director believes that Triptii has developed a unique sense of balance that has allowed him to navigate praise and criticism without letting it affect his vision.“He’s been through so much in terms of being judged. He’s gone above and beyond. He’s reached a state of Zen, or at least pretends to be. And the best thing about him is that he’s a totally dedicated student.”
The funny side of Triptii Dimri
While audiences often associate Tripti with serious performances, Triveni revealed that she brings a lot of energy and humor behind the scenes. Sharing a lighter observation about the dynamics of the cast, he said, “But at the same time, he’s big, what do you call him? Among the three, he’s the biggest masticur. I thought he was going to be Dharna, but he’s the biggest.”
