New Delhi: Younger son of former Indian captain and head coach Anve Dravid Rahul Dravidwas on Thursday selected in India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.The BCCI Junior Cricket Committee, headed by S Sharath, on Thursday announced the squads for the tour, which will consist of three one-day matches and two multi-day games starting on July 4. Anway has been included as wicketkeepers in the ODI squad along with Rajat Baghel. For the multi-day matches, the selectors have chosen Manu Krishna and Aryan Sandesh Sakpal as the wicket-keeping options.Karnataka is steadily making its mark in youth age-group cricket. During last year’s Vinno Monkid Trophy, he led Karnataka to the quarter-finals and impressed with the bat. He scored 220 runs in six matches, including an unbeaten 82 and another half-century during the tournament.The tour will be led by Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan, who has been appointed as the captain of both the ODI and Multiday teams. Lakshya Raichandani will act as the vice-captain in both the formats.Anway’s selection continues the growing presence of the Dravid family in India’s junior set-up.
