He reposted a screenshot of More’s apology along with facts and statistics about rape cases in India and asked a pointed question in his caption: “Should women apologize? Always? Why?”He didn’t hold back in his assessment of More’s behavior, saying, “Apologise? After enjoying yourself as a joker to get more laughs from more perverts in the audience? We don’t accept your apology; nothing will change (sic) if we do.”

The controversy erupted when a clip from Pranit More’s comedy show went viral, with audience member Himanshu Jangra saying that a woman spending Rs 370 on chicken biryani entitled her to a “return” on her investment. The remark drew widespread criticism online for its misogynistic overtones. More, who laughed off the comment during the live show, later faced strong backlash from viewers and public figures.

Pranit More, also appeared as a contestant on ‘nBig Boss 19‘, he posted a public apology on his Instagram Stories. He accepted that the listener’s comments did not represent his opinion and admitted that he had made a lapse in judgment at the time.“I have seen the criticism of a recent crowdwork clip. The comments made by the audience do not reflect my opinion. In retrospect, I should have questioned the remark instead of smiling and moving on. That was pure judgment on my part,” he wrote.He also confirmed that the video has been removed from all platforms to amplify or normalize viewpoints, and thanked those who raised their concerns respectfully.As the controversy escalated, More appears to have deactivated his Instagram account.
