Engineers India Limited (EIL), a new public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has announced recruitment for Management Trainee (MT) posts through GATE 2026, offering opportunities to engineering graduates in key core areas.The company, known for providing end-to-end engineering consultancy and project management services across the hydrocarbon value chain, invites applications from young and motivated engineering graduates to pursue careers in India’s infrastructure and energy sectors.
Vacancies in four engineering disciplines
As per the brief notice, a total of 59 Management Trainee posts will be filled in four branches:
- Mechanical Engineering: 24 posts
- Civil Engineering: 21 posts
- Chemical Engineering: 7 posts
- Electrical Engineering: 7 posts
Candidates must have appeared in GATE 2026 and be considered for these roles in the respective paper code (ME, CE, CH, EE).
Application window and process
The online application process will start on 20 March 2026 at 00:00 AM and will be open on 13 April 2026 at 23:59 PM.Eligible candidates need to apply separately on EIL official website (www.engineersindia.comAfter appearing for GATE 2026. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be entertained.A detailed notification describing the eligibility criteria, selection process, and pay structure is expected to be released on the company website soon.
Selection through GATE 2026
Recruitment will be done through GATE 2026 score, candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the national level engineering entrance exam.While the detailed selection process will be described in the full advertisement, EIL generally follows a process that includes:
- Shortlisting based on GATE score
- Personal interview and/or group discussion
- Preparation of final merit list
Reservation for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non Creamy Layer), EWS, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.
