Allu Arjun took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to praise the ‘Peddi’ team. Calling Ram Charan “truly deserving” of all the applause, he wrote, “Watched #Peddi last night. Amazing performance by dear @AlwaysRamCharan. Sharp, raw performance, amazing body transformation and graceful dance moves. He totally nailed it in every aspect. Really very proud to be used by my brother.“He also sang the praises of the other senior members and gave a special shout out to Jagapathi Babu and Janhvi Kapoor. “A striking performance by @IamJagguBhai garu and all the other artistes. Love to the leading lady, #JanhviKapoor. Kudos to all the technicians and producers,” he added.

‘Peddi’ has been one of the biggest hits, having collected 248.92 crores worldwide in five days since its release. According to live numbers, the film has collected Rs 58 lakh in 1,909 shows this morning according to Sacnilk.

Apart from its success at the box office, the film has been in the news as it received criticism over Janhvi Kapoor’s role as Achiyamma. A large section of the audience criticized the film for objectifying and mishandling the character. After the backlash, the director apologized and confirmed that necessary changes will be made in the film.
