Kangana Ranaut who is gearing up for the release of his next film, ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ explains why he decided to take over the social media accounts from his team. The actor said he prefers to have a more personal and authentic connection with his followers.The ‘Queen’ star spoke about her approach to social media and explained that she is actively involved in responding to messages and interacting with users. When asked if she personally responds to comments and how much time she spends on social media interactions, Kangana said that she does not completely leave this responsibility to her team.Recalling the moment she decided to take back control of her accounts, Kangana said in an interview with IANS, “I asked my social media team, ‘What is this?’ Do you write a respectful letter to the principal? What kind of captions are these? It sounds to me like you are apologizing to stay alive. So I said, no, this is not going to work like that. Simple straightforward things. I’m eating this so write this. You feel like you’re apologizing for everything. It won’t work that way.”The actor also explained that he does not believe in presenting a carefully sanitized version online. Speaking about the challenges of living under constant public scrutiny, she said: “So, obviously, I don’t like living like this. And I think it’s not easy to be in the public space. It’s not that we’re not ashamed. Or we don’t feel bad. Or somehow, even if it’s a small thing, it becomes the angle of a picture. Or how we ever styled it or said something. We feel, “Oh, it was a wrong decision; it was a wrong call.” I could do better. We feel that way. Now you don’t have to tell anyone.’Kangana also spoke about the pressure celebrities face when every action, statement or picture becomes a topic of public debate. Reflecting on how personal mistakes often become visible, he said: “Reading the comments is one thing. But you feel it yourself. So you have days like that. Now it’s posted everywhere. Not his response, not anything – one line did that. Or I could have done better with my picture from that angle; he’s putting the same picture everywhere. So such shame happens to celebrities. That your mistakes are published nationwide.
