As excitement builds around the film, details about the actor’s salary and profit sharing deal have emerged. Akshay charges just Rs 1.8 crore for the project, and also secures a significant chunk of the film’s intellectual property revenue post-release.

According to the Free Press Journal, so far, officials say they have finalized a deal worth around 120 million from OTT, audio, satellite and more. So they will have to recover much less from the theater admission. ‘Welcome’ is a big franchise. The first two films, ‘Welcome’ (2007) and ‘Welcome Back’ (2015), are very hard. So the third part of the franchise is also getting buzz. As secondary rights have already delivered safe numbers, the makers can breathe a sigh of relief for now.
Akshay Kumar will get 72% IPR share of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’
Akshay reportedly charged a nominal fee of 1.8 crores for the film. According to reports, once the film starts generating post-release revenue, the actor will pocket a whopping 72 percent of the IPR fee, with the producer retaining the remaining 28 percent.

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ is the third film in the much loved Welcome franchise. On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a packed lineup ahead of him. She was recently seen in the film ‘Bhooth Bangla’ which she teamed up with director Priyadarshan. The duo is now reuniting for ‘Haiwaan’, the official Hindi version of the 2016 Malayalam thriller ‘Oppam’, which also stars Saif Ali Khan in the lead role, with a supporting cast that includes Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher and veteran actor Asrani.
