To which the president of CINTAA replied: “Now, look, we don’t know the details of that, but we know that I’m sure he would be a fair person, and if he feels that way, he’s not the type of person who will intentionally harm or hurt anyone, and he has a great relationship with Excel. Yes, he has given two big hits with them. So if there was any reason why he’s not comfortable making this film, it could be for a number of reasons. And he thanked him for offering compensation for the losses and for returning the signature amount. Many don’t even do that.”

In the same interview, when Poonam Dhillon was asked whether actors should be actively involved in creative decisions or just stick to playing their roles, the CINTAA president was unequivocal in favor of actors having a voice. He said: “Hello, they are intelligent people, thinkers, especially the main actors. They have a say in a script because they will be the ones who will be projected in it. They will eventually get brickbats if the film is not appreciated. So you know they are actively involved in a very positive way today. I would say that it should be in a positive way for the improvement of a project.”

The ‘Don 3’ case

The controversy started after Ranveer Singh walked out of Don 3 citing creative differences, hence Farhan Akhtar and the producers. Ritesh Sidhwani He had to bear a loss of 40-45 million. When the two parties failed to reach a solution, the producers turned to FWICE, and the federation issued a non-cooperation directive against it. Shortly after, the same was withdrawn. Singh’s team sent a legal notice to FWICE, stating that the dispute does not fall under its jurisdiction. Now, according to reports, the Producers Guild of India has indicated that it will mediate the issue between the two sides.
