Surya Kumar Yadav Wished the Indian team well after missing out on the T20I captaincy, shared a message of support on Instagram after the announcement of India’s squad for the Ireland and England tours.Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was nominated on Saturday. Shreyas Iyer Surya Kumar Yadav replaced as India’s new T20I captain. Soon after the announcement, Surya Kumar posted an Instagram story supporting the team. “Wishing this highly talented group all the best for the challenges ahead,” Surya posted on his Instagram story.The squad announcement is also a significant moment in Indian cricket as 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi earned his maiden call-up to India. At the age of 15 years and 71 days, he became the youngest player ever to be selected in an Indian cricket team, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record.

Tendulkar was 16 years and 205 days old when he made his Test debut on 15 November 1989 against Pakistan in Karachi.India will first tour Ireland for two T20Is on June 26 and 28 before playing a five-match T20I series against England from July 1 to 11.Suriyas returned to India’s T20I team for the first time after the match against Australia in Bengaluru on 3 December 2023.“We have a little more time for the next WC, and his (Shreyas’) performance as captain won the (IPL) with KKR and a couple of good seasons with PBKS. He was very close to being a permanent presence in the team but couldn’t find a place,” the chief selector. Ajit Agarkar told reporters after announcing the squads.Agarkar said that Surya Kumar’s form in the last two seasons influenced the decision to change the leadership. As a result, Surya Kumar lost both the T20I captaincy and his place in the squad.
