Anu Malik He remembered the warm connection he had Dharmendra and revealed that the late Bollywood legend loved his song ‘Pal Pal Na Mane Tinku Jiya’ from ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’. The composer and singer said Dharmendra enjoyed his music and treated him like family. He also talked about his close relationship with him Sunny Deol and with his long professional association Hema Malini.

According to IANS, Anu Malik shared the memory in an exclusive interview with the news agency. He said that Dharmendra, often called the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, was very fond of ‘Pal Pal Na Mane Tinku Jiya’ from ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’.Anu said, “I always had a very cordial relationship with Dharam Ji (Dharmendra). I have been very close to Sunny (Deol). I also gave him music for his second film, ‘Sohni Mahiwal’.”The composer also recalled how Dharmendra reacted to his music. He said, “Dharam Ji was very fond of my music. In fact, I once came up with a playful number, ‘Pal Pal Na Mane Tinku Jiya’, and Dharam Ji, being very cheerful, loved that song. He also loved my melodious numbers. He treated me like a family member, so we met often.”

Anu also said that she admired Dharmendra deeply while growing up. She shared, “Since we have grown up watching and admiring her songs, I was always at her feet. I even asked her how a particular song of hers was shot. However, she didn’t say anything and just kept looking at me.”The composer then spoke about working with Hema Malini. He said, “My first association was with Hema Ji in ‘Maarg’. Then we did ‘Awaargi’ together, again produced by Hema Ji.”He added that Hema Malini inspired him and gave him regular feedback while composing songs. Anu said that when her film ‘Ek Chadar Maili Si’ came out, she “really fell in love with my music”.
