CBS News Atlanta has shared in a new report that the latest installment of the ‘Scary Movie’ franchise was shot primarily in Atlanta. It has been reported that most of the footage was shot at the Tyler Perry studios at Fort McPherson Army Base. Filming took place at the base between October 1st and November 24th.The studio where the film was shot has an extensive production setup, along with a couple of backlots, as well as a sound stage and interior rooms for feature film production.‘Scary Movie 6’ joins the long list of popular and successful films that have been shot at the same location. These include ‘The Blind Side’, ‘Zombieland’, ‘Baby Driver’, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ and ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming and No Way Home’, along with many others.
