'Varanasi' update: Writer Vijayendra Prasad reports on key scenes from Ramayana;

SS Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’ continues to be one of the most awaited projects among moviegoers. Movie protagonists Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the main roles. At the open house organized by Filmy Focus, Vijayendra Prasad was asked about a sequence he had talked about earlier. The sequence had already become a talking point among fans.Asked whether the much-discussed 30-minute segment was related to mythology, politics or spirituality, he replied, “It’s a war between Rama and Kumbhakarna.”Vijayendra Prasad talked about some of the visuals that the audience had seen earlier. He noted that there may already be clues in the promotional material.He said, “You saw it in the trailer, didn’t you? You saw Rama and Kumbhakarna. You saw Lord Hanuman’s tail and the chariot on it. That’s what I’m talking about…bewitched.”He did not continue to discuss the scene and stopped before revealing additional information. Another question later talked about the possibility of time zones being part of the film’s story. Vijayendra Prasad chose not to elaborate and simply said, “We shouldn’t talk about it anymore.”

He explained that the role pushed him to another acting zone.According to the actor, the actors generally depend on their body language along with their expressions during the scenes. He revealed that this role significantly changed that process.Prithviraj told Collider, “always aware that your body is available as a communication tool. Then you put yourself in a situation where nothing is visible from the neck down, and you realize that what you do physically will not be seen.”He further added, “Everything you have is concentrated on your face. What you need to convey must come from your face and eyes.”Talking about the role, he also shared that the complexity made the character even more interesting. Prithviraj concluded by saying, “Definitely one of the most complex characters Mr. Rajamouli has created.”‘Varanasi’ is currently in production and remains one of the most awaited releases in the coming years.
