'Drishyam 3' box office collections Day 16: Mohanlal film down 14 percent; Worldwide collection touches Rs 231.26 Cr

Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph‘Drishyam 3’ continues its theatrical run with small drops every day at the box office. The film has maintained a steady performance in the third week. However, the collections have gradually slowed down in recent days.As per Sacnilk estimates, ‘Drishyam 3’ collected Rs 80 lakh nett on day 16. The latest figure represents a decline of 14 percent compared to the previous day’s collection of Rs 93 lakh. The film recorded these collections in 851 shows.

“Drishyam 3” crosses 231 Cr worldwide

‘Drishyam 3’ has already crossed major milestones during its theatrical journey. The total net collection in India now stands at Rs 103.43 crore. The gross collections in India have reached 120.01 crore so far. “Drishyam 3” collected Rs 10 lakh in 16 days overseas.Gross foreign collections increased to 111.25 crores. The worldwide gross collection of the film has now reached 231.26 crores. The Malayalam version was the highest contributor to the film’s Day 16 collections. The Tamil version added only a small amount to the grand total.The Malayalam version generated Rs 79 lakhs Indian nett and registered 19 percent occupancy in 841 shows. Meanwhile, the Tamil version added Rs 1 lakh and registered 27 percent occupancy in 10 shows.The film maintained stronger numbers in the first week. Day 7 collections stood at Rs 6.65 crore with 4,721 shows and 32.8 percent occupancy.Day 8 also brought in 6.65 crore, though the number of shows dipped to 3,453. Occupancy reached 40.8 percent that day. Week 1 ended with a collection of 81.95 crores.

The night shows continue to be better

The 16-day occupancy figures showed stronger movement in the evening and night shows. The morning occupation was lower in comparison.The Malayalam version registered an overall occupancy of 15.31 percent. Morning shows had 6.00 percent occupancy and evening shows had 9.56 percent occupancy. Later evening shows rose to 16.33 percent. Night shows had the highest occupancy of the day at 27.33%.According to the state gross report, Kerala collected Rs 85 lakh on the 16th day. Karnataka followed with Rs 4 lakh followed by Tamil Nadu with Rs 2 lakh.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added Rs 1 lakh. Rest of India also contributed Rs 1 lakh.“Drishyam 3” follows Georgekutty as he faces his toughest challenge yet.
