Anthony BuruaThe soft-spoken British actor, best known for his roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Ted Lasso,” has died, his family confirmed Friday. He was 72 years old.Head’s daughters, actresses Emily and Daisy Head, told the Press Association news agency that the actor died of complications from pneumonia.“Our grief is far greater than the hole he left behind, but we know his legacy will live on in the shows he attended and the audiences he loved,” his daughters said. “How lucky we are to know that we are able to see him doing what he loved, even when he is not with us.”Head rose to fame in the US as librarian Rupert Giles, the character’s mentor in the 1997-2003 supernatural series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.Actor in mind, co-actor Sarah Michelle Gellar he paid tribute in a post on social media: “Tell Giles I’ve figured it out and I’m fine” I haven’t figured it out and I’m not fine. But I know I’m lucky because I know you. Thank you to those who shared Daisy and Emily’s father not only with me, but with the world.”‘Buffy’ co-star James Marsters also shared: “There’s a hole in the world. Anthony Head has passed from us. He was a constant and warm presence on the set of Buffy, and he was the best actor. He was the best of us. I was lucky to know him, and I learned from everyone. Thank you for everything.”Writer Harlan Coben also reached out to remember the star: “Anthony Head died today. You’re going to read a lot of wonderful things in the days to come. Trust me.
