Earlier, Paramjit Singh Sarna, President of Shiromani Akali Dal, Delhi State, shared a message on his X: “The poster of the song Pralay from the movie Dhurandhar 2 depicts a turbanted Sikh character holding a cigarette. This portrayal is highly offensive and a serious violation of Sikh religious principles. Using it in this context is completely irrelevant to the film’s narrative and seems to trivialize and degrade the Sikh faith to a global audience. Such images directly attack Sikh sentiments and project a distorted understanding of the Sikh faith. We request the relevant authorities to take immediate notice of this matter, to investigate the portrait and to remove or correct this offensive poster.
