Earlier, during an interview on BBC Sounds, McCartney was asked whether he would offer Swift any advice, given that she appeared to have reached the same level of global fame as The Beatles once had. “You see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame,” McCartney said in a clip posted on BBC Radio 2’s Instagram. “Taylor Swift has and we had worldwide fame.”He then stated that Swift hardly needed any guidance from him, describing him as a grandfather figure to his generation. “I’m like the older brother of that generation, or more like Grandpa, actually,” he said with a chuckle. “If they need some advice, yes, I would be happy to give it, but I don’t think so.” Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter. “They’re really nice people, they’re really good. McCartney’s admiration for Swift isn’t just theoretical.
