Fresh off winning the Singapore Open title last week, the two had to retire from their opening round match after just seven minutes.The Indian pair was trailing 6-11 against Malaysia’s Aaron Tai and Kang Khai Xing when Satwik appeared to be suffering from a shoulder problem and signaled the discomfort, forcing them to withdraw from the competition.In men’s singles, veteran campaigner HS Prannoy was also eliminated in the first round. He lost in three games to Ireland’s Nhat Nguyen, losing 17–21, 21–16, 19–21 despite fighting hard to stay in contention.
