Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoorwho is gearing up for the release of his next Telugu film ‘Peddi’, believes that filmmaking is ultimately an “act of service” to the audience and says that while people are quick to judge, their opinions are important as they help artists hone their craft and create better works.Talking to IANS about the social media user culture, not seeing people “writing obituaries” for films, the actor, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Dhadak’ in 2018, said that if a film is made with sincerity and good intentions, then it reaches the people it needs.Janhvi told IANS, “I think a film, if it’s made honestly and with hard work and good intentions, reaches the people who need it. And I know people are quick to judge. But at the end of the day, it’s an act of service, right?”He added, “We are making films to reach the audience, to entertain them. So you can’t completely ignore what they’re feeling or what they’re saying. I mean, I think the audience is God and we’re just trying to serve them and serve them.”The 29-year-old actress accepts all opinions.“So, I mean, all their opinions are welcome. And if we manage to do a better job and do a better job, we’ll take everything,” he concluded.Talking about ‘Peddi’, Buchi Babu Sana has directed the film. The film also stars Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu.
