The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2026 was delayed at some examination centers on Saturday after a technical glitch affected the commencement of the test. National Testing Agency (NTA).In a statement posted on X, the agency said the issue was reported by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is involved in conducting the exam. NTA said that the issue has now been resolved and arrangements have been made to ensure that candidates do not waste time in the examination.“TCS has reported that a technical glitch has delayed the start of CUET UG 2026 at some centers on Saturday. The issue has since been resolved, and the exam is being conducted with full reimbursement so that no candidate misses out,” NTA said.After the disruption, the agency revised the schedule for the afternoon session. Candidates were asked to report from 2:30 PM, while the exam was scheduled to start at 4:00 PM instead of 3:00 PM.The NTA also said that candidates appearing for the morning session will get the full duration of the exam and will be allowed to leave only after completing the scheduled exam time.“NTA sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused to students and parents,” the agency said.In a later post, the NTA said that candidates who had registered their biometrics and were present at their exam centers in Shift-I, but could not complete their exam due to this technical glitch, will get an opportunity to take the exam, the details of which will be intimated soon.To help candidates facing difficulties, NTA has provided a helpline number, +91-11-40759000, and an email address, cuet-ug@nta.ac.inFor help and questions.CUET-UG was introduced in 2022 as a common entrance test for admission to undergraduate programs offered by central, state and several private universities.
