West End Live announces 2026 performance programme: Here's everything you need to know about the event

Mark your calendars, folks, as the official line-up for West End Live has finally been announced! As one of the world’s largest free music festivals, the event features classics from a variety of genres over two days. With more than 50 performances, the authorities announced the shows three weeks before publication in Trafalgar Square on 20 and 21 June 2026. Here’s a closer look at West End Live performances.

Disney shows will open shows on two days, ‘Hercules’ on Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. and ‘The Lion King’ on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ‘High School Musical’ will show its progress before the official opening in October. ‘Phantom of the Opera’ celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Meanwhile, ‘Beetlejuice’ will be the only chance to see it live with a limited show engagement until April 2027. There will also be new shows this year, including ‘Les Misérables’, ‘Mamma Mia!’, ‘Wicked’, ‘Magic Mike Live’ and ‘Six’.Other performances include: ‘Avenue Q’, ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, ‘Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage’, ‘Hamilton’, ‘Matilda The Musical’, ‘Here Comes J. Edgar! Musical comedy’ and many others.

West End Live and twist

As the live performances progress, the show and backstage content will also be streamed online on Official London Theater YouTube and other social media platforms. To take it one step closer to seeing it live, an online competition will be held in advance to offer 100 fast-track tickets per day, with separate ticket holders for selected people, according to the Official London Theater website. Additionally, the selected winner will receive access to the stage during the festival, along with a merchandise voucher and theater pass.
