Pune: AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (IOIT) successfully organized its annual flagship festival ‘Alacrity 2026’. The three-day event, which seamlessly integrated art, sports and technology, saw a massive turnout of over 3,500 students. Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. PB Mane said that the festival has evolved as an important platform for overall development and creative expression of the student community.The mega event was organized under the patronage and guidance of Hon. Secretary Shri Maloji Raje Chhatrapati, Joint Secretary Shri Suresh Pratap Shinde, and members of the Management and Governing Council. A highlight of this year’s edition was the participation of a student delegation from Japan’s Happy Science University. The involvement of international students fostered a unique environment for cultural dialogue and technical exchange, adding a global dimension to the festivities.The festival was graced by the presence of renowned Marathi film actress Praratna Behre, who attended as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Mr. Rajesh Madhai, Vice President – Products & Platforms, Zensar Technologies, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The two dignitaries interacted with the students, emphasizing the importance of balancing academic rigor with extracurricular passion.The campus has been a hub of activity with 14 cultural events and various technical and sports events. The festival included intellectually stimulating segments like an Ideathon, Robo Race, and Tech Hunt, as well as high-energy soccer and chess tournaments. These competitions were designed to challenge students’ strategic thinking and technical ability in real-world scenarios.The successful coordination of the festival was led by Prof. Dr. Vinita Philip, Dean – Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Devendra Etole, Technical Incharge, and Physical Education Director. Deepali Moor. The event ended on a triumphant note, with the institute reiterating its commitment to nurture talent through such comprehensive campus initiatives.
