Ongoing developments in the area Ranveer Singh and ‘Don 3’ continue to create controversy in the film industry. What initially seemed to be a casting issue has now become a bigger controversy. Film maker Ram Gopal Varma now he has shared his opinion on the matter. The director publicly supported Ranveer Singh and slammed the Federation of West Indian Film Workers (FWICE) for its recent move against the actor.
Ram Gopal Varma has reacted to the FWICE decision
Ram Gopal Varma took to X and published a long note. The filmmaker questioned the authority of FWICE and expressed his displeasure with the decision to issue a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh. RGV also suggested that such actions may not be of long-term significance. He also argued that the organization was trying to maintain its influence in changing industry dynamics.“FWICE is not a court of legal justice, nor a government-authorized regulatory body, and is at best a kangaroo court, pretending to deliver justice by definition, but in reality it ignores established legal rule, due process and impartiality. That’s because the verdict is often pre-judged by a group of people with a specific agenda who are brought together in private, including actors undeterred by the massive success of @RanveerOfficial Dhurandhar,” RGV wrote.
Ram Gopal Varma talks about Ranveer Singh’s attitude
The filmmaker also shared his opinion on Ranveer Singh’s attitude in the industry. According to Varma, the problem should lie between Ranveer Singh Farhan Akhtarand should not become a wider industry debate. He also stated that the actor continues to have a high market value and support within the industry. “Here we come to the main point that everyone knows in his heart, including the suit company, and yet even FWICE, if @RanveerOfficial says yes, tomorrow morning there will be a line of producers a mile outside his house with checks ready,” he wrote.
RGV highlights the role of stars in the industry
Continuing his remarks, Ram Gopal Varma also discussed the role of actors in sustaining the film industry and creating opportunities. “It’s stars like @RanveerOfficial who sell tickets in theaters and not FWICE. It’s stars like @RanveerOfficial who create employment for those lakhs of FWICE workers and not FWICE. Just because stars like @RanveerOfficial exist, the industry exists, and so does FWICE. So, in summary, here is my unsolicited advice to all concerned.
